ARDUINO MEGA 2560
The Arduino Mega 2560 is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega2560 . It has 54 digital input / output pins (of which 14 as PWM output available), 16 analog inputs, 4 UARTs (hardware serial ports), a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button.
It has everything you need for the microcontroller to operate. To get started you need to connect the Arduino Mega 2560 only via USB cable to a computer or connect it to an AC-to-DC power supply or a battery. The Mega is compatible with most of the Arduino designed Shields.
The Mega 2560 is different from all previous Arduino boards is that it does not use an extra FTDI USB-to-serial driver chip, but a programmed as a USB-to-Serial Converter ATmega16U2 .
Improved reset circuit.
The Atmega 16U2 replace the 8U2 for USB connectivity.
